At lake level......from here, it will be a mile walk to the point where icicles begin, followed by another half mile of zigzagging along shoreline of ice-clad red rock cliffs and caves. One can expect a ROUND trip of a 3 miles walk on icy hard surface plus one to two miles to your car. It is not your everyday walk, but a strenuous hiking exercise, especially, if your are carrying a backpack of camera gear.
